Perl Fortune

This project is an attempt to completely rewrite the 'fortune' game in Perl. This effort was inspired by Tom Christiansen's Perl Power Tools (PPT) project. The initial effort was never fully completed so I am re-launching the effort to rewrite and complete the port.

The first release is CPU intensive because it works directly on the raw text cookie files. It also does not support all of the command line switches and args. In the next release I will be rewriting it to use the .dat files to speed up selection. I also will work on getting all of the command line args and switches working. If you are interested in working on this please drop me a line and join in.

Also I would like to make a larger repository of cookie files. I will be adding all of the ones I have found so far as separate compressed files for down load and as a single big tar ball.
